We co-create thoughtful and thought provoking art education, rooted in curiosity, experimentation and care alongside your young artist!
With a focus on experimentation, exploration and mistake making over specific technique and finished product, Tiny Pencil Studios' After School Art Experiments programs expose young artists to local visual culture, national and international art histories and a wide variety of fine art materials, processes and ideas
We explore the potential of expressing our own inner worlds, interests and skills as pathways to community contribution, empathy and feelings of belonging.
We envision a community in which mistake making and creative risk taking are prioritized as necessary elements for developing self expression, identity and empathy for others’ experiences.
We use hands-on experimentation as a tool for developing wellness, activism, empathy and community. We do this through exploring a variety of local, national and international art practices, highlighting and uplifting diverse voices raised through artistic expression.

Miss Bumble is an Illustrator, Painter, Textile & Felting Artist creating on the unceded territory of the K'ómoks First Nation, in the province known as BC, Canada. The artist takes large inspiration from local mycology (study of mushrooms) as well as west coast natural flora and fauna in her illustrations and fibre works.
Creating works that have a deep representation of 2SLBGTQIA+ people, which the artist is a part of, comes from seeing a lack of representation in the small communities they were living in along the west coast. Her artwork has an air of whimsy but also carries a message of advocacy for underrepresented groups including bodies of all shapes, orientations and abilities. Each artwork has a story that people can connect to, and the artist hopes that some people also see themselves represented in their work.
